I know I just had my one year check up with Dr. A. and was cleared to try to get preggers weight wise. I have other factors that he wants me to wait over. Dr. A. says to wait until the weight stablizes to try. Usually about 18 months. Mine did it after 7. ***mutters "stupid paxil"*** Hey, I am still down 200 (from my high) when I get to my low and 195 when I bounce up.
Good luck with all of this.

Tammy,
Thanks for the point in the right direction.
I am sorry to hear that you had to start your journey over again. Hopefully this new path leads you to exactly where you should be.

All the best.

Sher,
I have actually found th perfect forum after much searching.
No plans to get pregnant for awhile after surgery, but considering what a life change the surgery it is, it is kind of the domino effect....everything after will be different.
Thanks for the well wishes!

It's not a sign of weakness to seek help when you need it.
The only sign of weakness is NOT to seek the help you need.

Welcome! I didn't have a post op pregnancy with RNY but did with the band and posted quite frequently on the Post Op Pregnancy Board - there are hundreds of women who have had healthy - normal pregnancies after RNY and healthy babies resulting from the pregnancy - they have a ton of information on that board regarding getting pregnant and during pregnancy - it is a very supportive and wonderful group of women and it is a very active forum - I highly recommend it.
Put your mind at ease - the majority of women that I've encountered have had no issues - the only difference is with the gestational diabetes testing - you can'[t do the glucose test because you'll dump but the women there can tell you what you'll need to do when the time comes.
I'm going for a revision from the band to the RNY so am in the same boat as you right now - going for the tests and stuff - it sucks to have to do it all over again but it is what it is!
Best of luck to you on your journey and congratulations on your recent marriage!
I posted this on the main board as I spend 99% of my time online there, but I thought I would post this over on CT also so I could share these great stores and we could make a list of all the great consignment stores in the state.
