Hello!
Just beginning my journey for WLS and was wondering if anyone could share their personal experiences with either Dr. Zuccala or Dr. Choi at Danbury Hospital?
Thanks!

Hi ... I too had the wonderful Dr. Bell. I had my tummy tuck after a year and a half. Did not have Dr. Alex AU. I had Dr. Richard Restifo, who was just as wonderful as Dr. Bell! I am sure you can find information about Dr. AU on Yale's website. Good luck and keep up the good work!
Topic: Looking for feedback
Hi everyone I had my RNY one year ago by the wondferful Dr Bell. I have lost 160lbs in 2 years. I saw Dr. Bell for my one year and he said he thinks Im ready for my Tummy Tuck. I am 199lbs and am pretty happy with my size. Its also been pretty stable for the last few months. Dr. Bell recomended Dr. Alex AU at Yale. Has anyone had any dealings with him? How is he? Can't seem to find any info on him. Thanks Michelle

I love my surgeon Laura Choi from Danbury Hsp., she was ranked one of the best surgeons in the Country. She is very loyal and she treats her patients with love and affection. Good luck

Topic: RE: Connecticare
You'd have to ask you Insurance company and if they say no talk to a surgeon and have their office check into it. My surgeons office the first night of an informational meeting in Farmington takes the Info. and checks it for you. I know Connecticare is on the list of accepted Ins. but each PLAN is different. They will find out for you and let you know at no cost. Center for Bariatric Surgery of Central Connecticut in Farmington CT.
Topic: RE: Revision - Band Over Bypass - - Dr.s in CT/RI?
Dr. Aranow,
I read and reread your statement and I just had revision from RNY to DS which has proven to be one of the most effective revision surgeries. The doctor explained how Lapband, VSG, RNY, and DS worked and after listening to him I am wondering why any doctor would recommend lapband or RNY to a patient. DS seems to be the most effective and if I had the choice back in 2004 I would have chosen this surgery but many doctors do not have the experience in performing this so they do not advise their patients of the surgery. I do not believe I was a failure but I do feel as if my surgery failed me which is quite a common theme in RNY patients. My stretch stoma was not a behavior issue. I really don't have any a question, I am just wondering why you are saying there are no effective revision procedures when there are.

Topic: RE: Psych eval-Tri state area recommendations
Sorry don't come to this forum often.
I found a psychologist who was able to do the eval and I am still seeing her.
I had RNY in 2004 and was living in Central CT and Dr. Aranow seemed like the best out of all the bariatric surgeons in CT.
I also had revision to DS 2 weeks ago and I went to California for that.
