Do you still go to support group meetings? I will be going to the meeting at L&M next Wed at 6PM.

Maureen, I have been struggling with my eating and have gained about 15 pounds since last Oct........... I know it is from what I am eating and not getting enough exercise. DO not feel I need a revision as when I follow the rules and eat dense protien first I feel full. It is that I can tolerate those carbs and don't very often dump and have been letting them back in my diet.
Have you checked out to see if the outlet of our pouch has stretched? Maybe that is why you are so hungry.
It is very scary, my DH has even noticed my weight gain and is questioning me as to what I am doing, but I know I can only blame myself. I am trying to cut back my evening time eating which is my worse time of day and have been getting outside and doing yard work and hope to start seriously back exercising.
I wish you all the best. You are not alone in your struggle. I believe it is one some of us will have for our whole life. We just can't quit.

I do not regret my decision to have the RNY surgery.
Unfortunately I have had some very serious medical issues over the past year & 1/2 that are still on going. (very long winded complicated story that is archived since last March 2008 on this site) up until January this year.. & still on going.
I do want to point out.. what has taken place for me isn't the "typical" side affects with RNY surgery. Obscure with ALOT of what has taken place could have been avoided.
However with all that said... I've lost over 150 pounds (flex around 7 pounds).. I work out & have a set of "guns" that can give professional weight lifters a run for the money.. LOL.. I'm more active..& it's nice to PHYSICALLY be able to move without fighting all the extra weight and not worrying if I'm going to get diabetes because of the xtra weight.(runs in the family heavily).
Not to mention the "social" aspect & acceptance of being a "normal size" person.. Obesity has it's own set of discriminations that is sooo uncalled for & I wish illegal. It's sad I'm accepted now.. when I'm still the same gal.. same personality.. talents.. & skills.... just in a smaller package...
Having intolerances for certain foods can be a little frustrating.. however the benefits of weight loss and knowing I NOW have control over what I do with my weight makes it all worth while.
There are times I wish I could eat a sandwich with bread or a hamburger.. but it's few & far between... I made the choice to change my life style with the surgery and this tool. Overall I wouldn't change a thing except for the past year & 1/2.
Regards,
Mickey
Good Luck with what ever you decide,
Sarah
Were you up front asking questions? We will be there in June.
