Thanks ladies for your thoughts.. Just got home about 10 minutes ago with a fever (side affect) and I'm a little loopy from everything.. & EXHAUSTED..
Take out for my boys & movie.. & of course watching the finale of America Idol tonight is what's on the agenda.
I go back in 3 months to see how everything is coming along & if my levels are better & are maintaining.
Glad this is over with (for now) so I can get refocused...
Hugs,

Hi Mickey,
You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I wish you a painless and swift recovery. Dr. R referred me to a hematologist in Hartford. He was wonderful and seems to be as thorough as Dr. R, which is a good thing in my book.
Please let us know how you are doing when you are up to it. Until then you will remain in my prayers!

So I haven't been posting much since my surgery in January.. trying to recover from the mess I've been in health wise & focusing on it.
Since my internal bleeding that took place last March & the subsequent surgeries my blood counts have not rebounded & if anything are worse than when I internally bled. My Iron alone is about a "2" as of last week.
Dr sent me to a hemotologist & met with him last week. They took more blood & he's surprised I'm not dropping like a ton of bricks.
Today I'm having a procedure done where they're giving me treatment done to my blood.. it's pretty extensive & I'll be at the facility around 8 hours a full day. I'm told that I'm going to be VERY ill for the day & it won't be a very pleasant experience. I'll be medicated from the sounds of it for pain.
Long term the Dr is concerned my blood won't "maintain" proper levels so I'll have to be monitored closely. The GOOD news in about 10 days I should definately start feeling better physically.
Right now I'm suffering from dizziness, headaches, memory loss, heart palipatations, & extremely unhealthy low blood pressure. Not to mention a few other issues. SOO anything has to feel better than where I'm at now.
This past year has been a hell of journey with my health. I'm 4 years out as of April.. I'm still very happy that I had the RNY surgery.. just hate the past year & 1/2.
Please send good thoughts my way today. I'm a little nervous as to what will take place however it has got to be a positive step forward.
Thanks gang,
