Topic: RE: Surgery Scheduled with Dr. R.
Paula,
Thanks for the good wishes but unfortunately Dr. R called and said my insurance denied my request for WLS. There were some errors of weight from my PCP and I was denied.
Dr. R spoke to my PCP and said he would try to work with the insurance company but was unsure if I was eligible. Will have to wait and see.
Very disappointed...

Topic: RE: HAS ANYONE GOt APPROVED IN 3 MONTHS??
My husband from start to finish was four weeks. He did all pre op tests, had his initial visit and did all his required meetings and got approved in that time frame. It was very quick. We have BCBS federal plan.
This was prior to the necessary 6 mos waiting period that most ins cos require you to do, now.

Oh, Mickey,
I'm so sorry that you're still feeling so poorly. I hope that they can straighten out the blood issue soon. Do you have to have iron transufsions, too? I know that Dr Aranow sends some of his patients for those.
I would have answered you sooner, but we just got back from a trip to Orlando with the kids.
Email me at [email protected] and let me know how you are doing...ok?

Topic: UGH...THAT HORRIBLE CELLULITE! !!
Hi Ladies;
Just wanted to to share something that really has helped me on my weight loss journey. It is my goal to avoid a tummy tuck after my WLS if I can help it. So I want to tell you about two wonderful tools that have aided me tremendously in my weight loss. I am 7 wk post op and weighed 270 lbs. Since then I have purchased a solar waist belt and solar shorts from Walmart. And since using these tools, it has helped to shrink my cellulite on the back of my legs, hips, butt, waist and stomach like you would not believe!
I exercise in them every time I go to the gym and I have lost a total now and counting of 43 lbs, 7 plus inches, and 3 dress sizes since incorporating them into my routine. I thought I would share this success with all of you so that you too can reap the benefits as I have done.
Shoot me an email if you found this to be supportive in your journey. Thanks...
