Dr Aranow has long been known to cancel appts an hour prior to it and try to call you and not use all of your numbers...When I was preop, I lived in Westerly RI and I was ten minutes from his office when they called me on my cell phone and told me he was stuck in surgery...So, I had to turn around and go home 1 1/2 hr drive.  Ugh..

Now that he has his aprn or pa, I guess the waiting is better.

Not all dr's offices call the day before to remind you of your appt...it is YOUR responsibility to phone them to make sure you confirm that your appt is on, or you're going to drive there for no good reason.  Make sure you do this next time to save yourself the frustration and time lost.  We can't charge him for our time lost!

As the calendar tells me...it's my seven year re-birthday this weekend.  Hard to believe. 

I just wanted to post to let everyone out there know that it's been 7 years and I'm still going strong.  Perhaps not as 'skinny' as I would like, but I'm still doing great at 155 lbs (my bottom was 124) from my start weight of 315.

No complaints, no problems.  No more health issues, except the occasional need for B12 shots.  How boring!  Sorry!

I do still amaze myself every day.  I still look in the mirror sometimes and think : Who Are you??
I went to a halloween party last week and wore..FISHNETS  (and I can think of so many self depreciating jokes to place in there... but I digress.)

Life is good.  Thank god I had gastric bypass.  Thank god for Dr Aranow.

I encourage you all to hang in there and fight the good fight.  If I can do it- you can too!

you vent all you want.. would have nade me mad too thinking I was going to be seen and then told opps you have no apt..
I hope they did reschedule you sooner than later.

I know I'm not getting enough protein I am working on getting more. Fluids I feel I get enough, maybe I need to work harder on the protein.
