Not sure if you will see this before your surgery, but I wish you all the best. I have had several differrent PS done since WLS. You will do fine, what I found after abdominoplasty and panniculectomy was that after the first 24 hours the pain was bearable and was more of a feeling of extreme tightening. Wear you abdominal binder for as long as surgeon instructs and have items you will need at a level that is easy to reach. The drains are not to bad just keep them pinned to your binder so they don't get pulled. I did find that it took many weeks to get my energy level back up and that is normal. Get your fluids in and keep your protien up for healing. Make yourself get up out of bed every few hours at home and walk around, you will have to walk a little hunched over. I did have healing issues postop that took months to heal, but now after some slight incision revisions it looks as it should and I am extremely happy with my results.
If you have any questions at all feel free to ask. Also check in at the plastic surgery message board.

Actually yesterday when I went to the office Erika and Becky had me fill out the release form but having it sent to me cause the doctors were being (Nice way of saying) difficult...So I asked they mail my records to my home and I will see Dr. Ehrlich in two more weeks again for my fill and I will bring them with me when I go. Thats the advice they gave me..... Its not difficult at all....If you call Dr. Ehrlichs office they can fax you a copy of the release form so you dont have to call FCB you can go through them and just fax it back. Hope this helps.
