Yes please!

I'm more than willing to take the drive.  I've been without a primary for years trying to find someone good who is also close.  Thanks.

Unfortunantly my PCP and OB/GYN are in the Hartford area. Both are very WLS friendly. if you want their names let me know.

Thanks everyone! Dr. A. thinks is scar tissue. he really doesn't want to start shoving a scope down my throat yet to find out since I don't have the attacks tha often. I tend to agree with him on that.

WANTED: WLS FRIENDLY PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN AND OB/GYN.  WILLING TO TRAVEL, NEW HAVEN COUNTY PERFERRED.

Suggestions/ reccomendations anyone?

I have no patience for ignorant doctors who perpetuate misconceptions about wls.  Especially those who are openly critical of obesity treatment.

I currently use both Griffin Hospital in Derby and Yale NH Hospital in New Haven.  The physician's competance and experience with wls patients is more imporant to me than their location.

Who do you use? Thanks CT OH friends!

Kathy that really stinks. You have had more than your share of problems. Hope they get to the bottom if this one soon.

Kathy, sorry you have to go through this. Hopefully you can get to the root of the problem and get it in control.

 Hi Maureen,

I had a Abdominoplasty & Panniculectomy on Dec 4th. Figured it was time to take the next step in my journey. Surgery went well and continuing to make progress.

I have had these same "phantom" attacks. My surgeon thinks that it is a dysfunction of the Oddi Sphyncter. It happens sometimes. It cannot be diagnosed in a post-RNY patient unless you go through surgery and even then it is not guaranteed that it will be the problem/or fixed.

I have found that when I get a pain, I can take a Demerol (pain relaxant) and I'm good for a couple of weeks. Since this seems to help me, my surgeon said to just keep doing it to avoid having another surgery (which would be my third in 3 months!)

Hope this helps!

Becky
