There is a group of us that are trying to create a "support" group together that will offer "peer" supporrt through meetings and activities in the Central Connecticut area. There is no Surgeon or Hospital affiliation and is open to all pre-op and post-op membership. If you beleive that support groups can help you through your journey, please join Central Connecticut Cares, and offer support to those that need it.  We will need places to meet and lots of suggestions.

Take a deep breath.. It does fall out and it at a time when you start feeling good about the weight loss and start looking better.   BUT there is really no way around it   it starts about the 3rd month and goes to abou the 5th or 6th.  but the 8th month it starts to grow back in

The good news is that by the time it starts growing back in your life is so busy you almost forget it.   Your life is so busy because you have so much energy and starting new things you never though you could do before.

Good Luck

My choice was very simple: I was not willing to consider any surgery which would permanently cut, resect, redesign - whatever - my digedstive tract. That left the lapband.

And - thank you!!

Banded 10 years & maintaining my weight loss!! Any questions, message me.

Sure, you can gain it all back... but it's not because of the surgery or it 'failing'.  It's all about you, what you put in your mouth, why you put it in your mouth.  It's all up to you.  I agree with Bette, you're in excellent hands if you follow his guidance.  He really is a wonderful dr. and will not send you down the wrong path, but you need to realize that this isn't a quick fix, but it is a lifetime commitment and lifestyle adjustment.  Once that part clicks in your head, you're well on your way.
