Micheal

I am sorry about your lost and applaud you for your commitment.

I am rewriting you to invite you to a new WLS support group.  Some Local OH WLS members and myself have gotten together to start a social, fun and functionial meeting with bi weekly meeting and some other social events thruout the month.

As good as our support group is at Middlesex Hospital we just wanted more social events and more contact with others for support

Please join us ...we will be holding our first "Greet and Meet"  on Saturday the 30th of January at the Wateredge Rehabilitation Center on Church Street in Middletown.  From 10:30 AM to 12:00

We hope to make this very active and supportive.

I think your commintment to cycling would be a wonderful inspiration for others.  If your interested I hope you would consider talking to the group on cycleing and how you got into it and how it all works.  Plea

To Join go to Obesity Help Groups section and search for Central Connecticut Cares.  and just join.   You will then be added to our email list for future events

Thanks Gloria

Alright - now a clear picture is emerging.  It is time to act.  The Connecticut Attorney General needs to know that our rights and that of Dr. Ehlich's have been denied.  His patients held hostage by doctors that do not follow medical ethics and think they can get away with this.  Please joing me in notifying the Attorney General about the way we were denied our medical rights.  This is his email address [email protected] .  And his name and phone number:
ATTORNEY GENERAL, Richard Blumenthal      (860) 808-5318
and address:  Attorney General, Office Of The
55 Elm St., Hartford 06106.

If you feel as many of us do that are rights have been violated - please contact the attorney general - OUR VOICES WILL BE HEARD !

One of the greatest things that WLS has given me is the ability to ride my bike again.  Last season, I was able to log over 3000 miles, culminating in the completion of the Seacoast Century 100 mile bike ride, which I did faster than I ever have before (that's where my avatar pic came from)!

In October, tragedy struck.  My friend Anna, the wife of one of my best friends, lost her fight with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.  She was only 34 years old, the mother of a six year old little boy who never knew his mother as a healthy person, and one of the most amazing people I have ever had the honor to know.

I have decided to turn my re-discovered passion for cycling into a good thing in Anna's memory.  I have joined Team in Training and will be completing the Bloomin' Metric 100km ride in May.  My commitment is to raise $1800 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

If anyone would like to help me out, the website will take you to my webpage, where you can make a secure, tax deductible donation with your credit or debit card.

Yes, they gave me a hard time about transferring my chart.  I had called several times and faxed the request form...still they couldn't seem to "find" my chart.  Even suggested Dr. Erhlich might actually have taken it himself.  Once I got the practice manager on the phone and threatened to phone the state that they were in violation of HIPPAA regulations...my chart mysteriosuly turned up in the record room and was faxed the next day.

Can't say I was impressed with them ...

Don't know how far you want to travel but there is an unafiliated support group at L+M hospital in New London on the third Wed of each month.  It's a good group.

Hi Gloria,

I did join your online support group recently and thank you for inviting me to the group you are trying to form meetings offline as well.  A social group sounds great too.

Thanks and look forward to meeting with everyone.

I would like to invite you to Central Connecticut Cares Support Group.  We are just forming and not affiliated with any hospital or doctor or proceedure.

We are in the process of locating a meeing place for meetings but want to move into a more fun and social group in the months that come.

In the mean time we have started a Online Weekly Chat on the OH Groups Forum. We hold it on Weds nights at 8 pm.

To find us go to Obesity Help Groups.. and search Central Connecticut Cares.

Good luck with your surgery and hope to see you soon.
