Ate lunch too fast... swallowed big "RNY big" piece of chicken... now what
Hi Chrissy, Well , if you didn't and you are drinking your fluids ok chances your ok. Will know at your next meal for sure but don't strees out about it! It has happenned to me from time to time and there were times whenI and times I made it thru with just a bit of discomfort. If you find that you cannot keep soid food down you may want to give your doctor a call. Our pouches are pretty sensetive tho so chances are you would have felt something already. Take Care, Julio
Hi Chrissy,
I've done the same thing you have quite a few times...usually it sits like a rock in my pouch and then I it up. Usually I feel better right away...sometimes it can really really hurt me where it gets irated.
I would agree with Julio if it hasn't come up yet it was probably small enough to pass through your pouch. You will find out the next time you go to eat if it's still in there...I usually feel a little "off" if I don't chew my food well enough...and have no desire to put anything else in my system for awhile (usually breakfast the next day.)
Hang in there,
Mickey
Hey Christina,
I have been in the same spot a few times. I called Lois once after I got food stuck and she told me in time it will digest and move thru the pouch. It can be brutal during the wait.
I hope you are doing well other then that..my hospital roomie !! Email me and let me know how you are doing. Take care, Colleen
Thank you so much for your posts. Dinner went down okay as did the liquids so I guess all is well. As soon as it went down I thought I was in big trouble. I thought for sure I would it up. I haven't in a long time and figured that yesterday was going to do me in. All is good though. Thank you again!
Hugs,
Chrissy
