I have my date!!!!!
DDS:
First, it is OK to be nervous. Perfectly natural. So don't try to force those feelings away.
Perhaps you might even consider embracing them as part of the journey. I have found the less I resist something, the less it persists.
One thing I did just before surgery was to talk to my body and let it know what was about to happen. May sound weird, but I do feel it helped with the pre-op fear and initial recovery process. I spoke to it letting it know about the day of surgery and what the doc was going to do.
As well, I THANKED my body for hanging in there all these years and not giving up on me, until I could find an answer and solution to my weight problems. And I pledged to be honorable and authentic in my recovery, promising to do whatever protocol the docs/nutritionist suggested for the best outcome and weight loss.
And you will have us! The CT board! We will be here to help you along the way.
