OT- my day at the spa

Okay, I have the bestest friend in the whole world. I went to work as usual this morning and was just sitting down to dive into some payroll input, when my friend, Linda came in and surprised me by sweeping me away for a day at the Norwich Inn & Spa! She called my co-worker and boss and arranged for me to have the day off and got my hubby to take care of picking up the kids so we didn't have to rush back. OMG! what a luxurious wonderful relaxing day it was. Started with getting into our spa attire -robes and spa shoes, went in for a head, neck, shoulder and foot massage complete with hot rocks. After which we relaxed in the meditation room, then ate a delicious spa lunch (still in our robes). Then after some time in the sun and more relaxation, we ended the day with facials and a soak in the hot tub. Ahhhhhh...... can you say PAMPERED? I kept thinking the whole day how nice it was to be able to enjoy a place like that. I would have never felt comfortable there as an obese person. As a matter of fact, my hubby gave me a gc to this spa a few years back and I gave it away because I was way too self conscious knowing the robe probably wouldn't fit and I would have been too embarrassed to lay on the massage tables, etc. The freedom to be able to do these things without fear of embarrassment is such an awesome feeling. anyway...I just had to share my experience with you all. I am very blessed to have such wonderful friend who did this for me. terri
