Lap-Banded Therapist to Speak
Hi, All!
Just a reminder for those of you who may not have seen my earlier posts... There's a terrific speaker who'll be at the Hamden support group meeting on Mon., May 1st (a wk. from tonight). She's Terria Linn, a licensed clinical social worker who's been lapbanded and has lost over 300 lbs.! She's spoken to the Hamden group before and is excellent. I don't know what her topic will be, but whatever it is, she'll be good. The Hamden group meets on the 1st & 3rd Mondays of the month (6:30 - 8 p.m.) at the Senior Center (behind the Miller Library on Dixwell Ave.). It's not affiliated with any doctor or hospital and is run by a couple of post-ops. Anyone, pre- or post-op, is welcome to attend, along with supportive significant others, if you want to bring them along.
If you need directions, pls. e-mail me.

P.S. Although usually the members of this group tend to run errands or go home after meetings rather than go to dinner, since there'll be some people who don't usually attend coming just to hear Terria, we probably will have a small group going out after the meeting, so think about joining us afterward as well.
