Back from California
Ah, the wonders of Jet Lag.
Ok... here is a list of random thoughts...
1) Seats have gotten smaller in then 5 years since I flew.
2) I still fit with no extender.
3) "Road food" is something I should have researched before I left- my diet was horrible.
4) You have to keep your vitamins in their original containers for the flights- even though they would have fit better in ziplock bags. Baggies of pills just look too illegal.
5) I was expecting Dorota's sand to get "collected" by the air authorities, but I guess a bottle of powder just isn't that suspicious...
6) Red eye flights are aptly named.
7) It's true: now I need another vacation to recover from this one.
8) Plenty of pictures of the Pacific Ocean and Sequoia National Forest for anyone who is interested. (email me).

Hi Dave,
Glad you're back. Hope you enjoyed your trip.
We'll be trekking out to the San Francisco with the family (mother in law in tow too) in late Aug. My first time flying since 1997. We'll be flying from Bradley to Atlanta to SFO...oh fun with an 8 and 6 year old.
BUT, I can't wait to feel the west coast sun shine on my face again...and to see the sequoia trees reaching up to the sky. Awesome. Maybe a few sips of NAPA wine!
It'll probably be a better flight for me with weight gone too. I've never needed an extender, but if I had flown in the last 8 years, would definately have needed one!
Rest up and return to East coast time...
Thanks for the thumbs up on the vits in bottles tip. I dont' think they'd like me to put my protein powder in individual zip lock baggies either! It's SO white! They'll think it's some new "sweet tasting" drug!
