Chicken hates me

Maybe it's revenge for having eaten chicken 5 out of 7 nights a wk. I honestly thought I could have lived on chicken. Now chicken is no longer my friend. I have tried it on 3 different occasions and it gets stuck no matter what I do. I hear this is a common problem. But does it last forever or is it only temporary? Anyone else out there with chicken issues? Thanks, Toni

Toni, It seems that chicken is a culprit in getting stuck in one's pouch the most...It did for me at first, but has gotten better. Breasts are the hardest, as they are drier. If you put some dressing or gravy on it, it may help to go down better. Make sure you're cutting it up into pencil eraser sized pieces and chewing into a pulp. Walk around a lot to loosen it when it gets stuck. Beef is the easiest for me to get down. Who woulda thunk? Hang in there, you're still so early out. It WILL get better. paula

hey toni i have to a gree with you. at the moment chicken is not my friend either. ive tried it 3 differrent ways, shredded like tuna in a can, oven roasted, and chicken nugget like. all were not for me, just came back up. maybe if it was like a cold- cut it would help. but yea no chicken for me for a lil bit. hope this helps Toni

Hi Toni, The only way I was able to have chicken early on in my journey was to put it in my little food processor with some mayo, ranch dressing, or broth and puree it. Makes a great dip! Evennow I stay away from breast meat and go for the dark meat as its juicer and easier to get down. Good Luck andtake care, Julio

I was the same way. I could eat beef and pork, but not chicken. I eat it in tiny amounts in soup or with gravy. Sometimes it stays down sometimes it comes up. It does get better. Blessings Splendalicious

Toni - I just experienced my second "stuck" episode yesterday with chicken - so I've only gotten stuck twice and both times were chicken - so I think I'm right there with you. I feel like I don't have any restriction but I guess I do............I love chicken too - we eat it at least 3 or 4 times a week at my house - it looks like I'll be figuring out creative ways to cook tofu. You're not alone if it makes you feel any better! Best Regards, Tammy

Hi Toni, Chicken Thighs are a no-no for me...Not sure it's the texture or what with it...but when I try it...up it comes...no matter how I prepare it, cut it up or chew it.. Chicken breast with gravy & turkey I can eat like a champ...Weird or what? If the chicken breast is on the dry side...it sits like a rock so through trial & error for me...the moister the better. Chicken breast "cold cuts" work well for me with some cheese. Along with in a can with mayo. I struggle with the "other white meat as well." Pork! I throw it up just about everytime... I'm just about a year out and I can finally tolerate beef...it needs to be really tender otherwise up it comes... Sounds like we're all in the same boat when it comes to our meat choices. Take Care, Mickey
