Is it common for liquids to be going down very slow right after lapband? I had my surgery Monday and my liquids are taking a while to go through. I will post this on the band site also. Joe

(Laughs) Joseph! You're just a baby in this process. You're still healing and still coaxing your system into the idea of the band. Pace yourself. But I WILL tell you that I, and a lot of other bandsters will as well, that the band likes to sleep late in the morning, meaning that it doesn't always like to be fed first thing in the morning, and you may have trouble getting even liquids down. Not always, but frequently. Best of luck on your new life! Bette

Joe - It sounds like you are one of the people who get restriction right away. I didn't (and still don't) feel any liquid restrictions. If you feel pain - call your doctor just to make sure. Best Regards, Tammy

Joe, I was like that too, you're still really swollen from surgery. Just take it easy and slow drinking. The swelling will go down and then you can drink normally. Vanessa
