I am having my surgery this Monday Feb7th, I did not do the tour of the tour ... Because EVERY TIME I was supposed to go it snowed ..I am sure you can all feel my pain (I am ready for spring) So I watched the video they provided .. And it was helpful.. But I ws wondering what the actual room situation is?? Single or double.. Whatever it is is fine I was just wondering :)

Hello there!
I had my surgery on 1/11/2011.  They give all WLS patients a private room. Good luck.

Hi Kim,
Dr. Robles is in the same office as Dr. Aranow who I had. My stay at the Bariatric floor for my surgery was grrreat. I wish you a good journey and know that you are in very good hands. I will say that the 1 mile/day through the hospital halls I was told to do was SO HELPFUL. I have continued 1 mile/day on my treadmill and it certainly has helped me to get stronger daily and in SO much better health. You will be real glad you have the private room. I was very pleased with the nurses/staff. Middlesex was a great experience all around.

Keep us updated on your progress.

I had my surgery November 1st and I thought Middlesex was better than Hartford Hospital as far as my care was concerned. I got careful monitoring in a private room and everyone was friendly and caring to me and my family.

So lucky for a private room. I had a semi-private but that was 3 years ago. Do they have a separate bariatric floor now?

I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.
