You know that every time you open this thread again it counts as a view, same for the people that answered.  I doubt 140 people looked and didn't answer.

10. a little about yourself and why you chose RNY, Lapband, DS or any other surgery for weight loss. If you did not choose surgery you are more then welcome to be here and your choice is just as amazing as ours was we still need you and want you here.  :)  I chose Aranow for his ability to cut, nothing more, I have no relationship with his office and haven't since early on, my PCP does all my follow up.  I have had 2 rounds of plastics, extended tt with muscle repair and neck lift and brachioplasty all done at Yale.  I am coming up on my 6 year anniversary and would like to be back to my low goal by then of 135.  My optimum weight for my height is 138 but I like the wiggle room, I am currently blogging my New Years diet on my profile.  I frequent the mainboard because this one is too slow for my liking, I post there daily.

1.  My name is Jackie
2.  I'm from Massachusetts but moved to Fairfield, CT in November.
3.  10/14/08
4.  Janey Pratt, MGH Boston, MA
5.  602 lbs high, 573 lbs day of surgery
6.  I'm not sure -- last known weight was 252 lbs a few weeks back but I've had plastics since then.
7.  Redunant question is redundant.
8.  180~ lbs would be TERRIFIC for me (i'm 5'9") but honestly, if I don't lose another lb, I'm happy)
9.   2+ yrs post op.  My life couldn't possibly be any better/different than it was pre-op!
10. I had RNY because my insurance wouldn't cover VSG.  I think if I had to make the decision again, I'd have DS instead.  I had some complications -- spent a LOT of time in the hospital over the first year and a half (check my profile for some details) -- it was all worth it.  :)  My doctor is an amazing woman and has gone above and beyond anything I expected.

Highest: 601 lbs / Surgery: 573 lbs / Lowest: 242 / Regained 57 lbs (Currently -51!)
              Panniculectomy 11/09  *  Brachioplasty & Inner Thigh Lift 12/10
