Well I can't believe its here. I had a panniculectomy during Thanksgiving and now on this tuesday I'm getting my man boobs done. I'll be 2 years out on 3/24/10. In less than 2 years my life has been changed forever. And the best part....insurance has paid for everything 100%!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats, Rich! I just came back on this site after a long time and I didn't even recognize your pic! You look like a new man! I am just starting to think seriously about plastic surgery. I'm wondering if you - or anyone reading - has any experience with any of these surgeons: Alan Babigian, Charles Castiglione or Steven Smith of Hartford. Or, if anyone has any suggestions for other surgeons in the Hartford/New Haven area, I would appreciate it. I intend to start with my inner thighs but also want to have my arms done. I'm less concerned about the panniculectomy (easier to hide in clothes than your arms or legs!). Laurie

Hi Laurie,
Dr. Castiglione did my panni and I was pleased with him, but NOT with Hartford Hospital. I wouldn't send a dog to that hospital which is the only one he operates out of. Dr. Weinstein in New Haven did my boob job at Yale and I was treated awesome there.

I have had a scar revision with Steven Smith. Not impressed enough to go back and let him do anything more complicated. I have heard good things about Cech (or however it's spelled. Still with the same group.) and Castiglione. I am not impressed with HH but I that is where I want to deliver for some reason. I was admitted for a little over 24 hours just recently and they seem to be understaffed.

I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.
