Ffld. County Bariatrics- Dr. Ehrlich Patients

FYI... I got a call from one of the office staff this evening from them letting me know that Dr. Ehrlich is no longer with Ffld. County Bariatrics.  I can't remember who it was (but it was a private cell phone number), but they said that something happened between the other docs in the practice (Drs. Neil & Craig Floch) and Dr. E is no longer with his practice, he was locked out of the Fairfield office with no access to his patient's charts.  She said that this has been in the works for awhile, but they all thought that the lawyers would figure things out and the split would be much more organized, she said that his staff has decided to stay with him, they have temporary office space in Trumbull though I can't remember exactly where but I believe she said Technology Drive, which is off Rt. 111 near the Monroe border.  They will be sending an email out to his patients, for those who have given that info. so once I get that email I can post it.  She said that the practice isn't releasing the medical records unless asked, and obviously they're swamped with those requests.  They still have access to the online system that they use to log their fills, for now. 

I had an appt scheduled for wednesday for a 6 week follow up with him, so they called me because they had his schedule for the week.  When I saw him 6 weeks ago he mentioned nothing about any issues or his possibly leaving... this was all very sudden according to the person that I spoke with. 

For his patients that still want to continue to see him, he won't leave you in your time of need... Dr. Ehrlich is a wonderful and compassionate man who cares about his patients, that much I know.

I'm new here on the board so HI, I'm Shannon.....I have been banded for 3 years now by Dr. Ehrlich and you are right, he is very compassionate and a wonderful Doctor....I just had my band redone last Friday 11/20 because of a band malfunction. He didnt mention anything to me as well but I am sure he didnt want to worry anyone. I received the same phone call you did yesterday from Nicole. She said the new address was I believe 116 Technology Drive Suite C-100 in Trumbull, I have my followup set for Wednesday and have to call and have my records switched...She said they were working on getting a 1-800 # up and running lastnight and would contact everyone when it was a go.....I strongly advise if you are one of Dr. Ehrlichs patients to hang on he is one of a kind.....Becky is too, Cant leave out Becky and all the girls there......Thanks for letting me post, hope we can post together in the future!!

Hi Shannon- good luck to you on your band revision!  I have a feeling that something blew up among the doctors this weekend and that's what happened.  I'm sure that if he knew something, especially with you just having had your band revised, he would have told you. 

My follow up was actually with Danielle tomorrow at 5pm, she works there one day a week after coming back from leaving about a year or so ago... but Nicole said that Dr. E hadn't been able to get in touch with her yet and wasn't sure what her plans were.  Originally she was his PA, so I'm not sure.

I used to go to Danielle in the very beginning. When I first was banded it was her and Elaine. And then Becky came on board and I feel like I have known her my whole life.....They are all so sweet!!! I agree I am sure there was some sort of blow up....There had to be...I didnt know he was locked out though!!! Thats awful!!! I'm just glad they were able to get a hold of some of us....Guess all we can do is spread the word if we hear info.....I am sure Danielle will follow Dr. Ehrlich!! She has been with him for soooo long!!!! Do you know if Erika and Laurie followed too? Thank you for the luck, I joined this board for the support, I have such a hard time and before my revision I hit a platuea and cant seem to get under......Its so hard at times but I do it everyday!!! I thank God every day I have my band. Without I dont even want to guess how heavy I would be....I look forward to chatting with you more......

FYI...Ehrlich does not deserve to be associated with Fairfield County Bariatrics.  Doctors Craig, and Neil Floch are sincere and caring doctors.  Ehrlich only cares about himself, and money.  I am a former patient of Ehrlichs, and am extremely happy to have changed my doctor to Dr. Floch.  It's sad that Ehrlich has to make up so many lies about the Floch doctors to try and save his reputation.  One of my (I guess you would say) co-patients said it so right "Ehrlich is a prima donna money hungry son of a @#$%^!  And he is also an Ehrlich patient.  He has his so called staff so brain washed, they don't even know the truth about him.  From what I understand, Ehrlich was given every opportunity to be an equal partner with the Flochs, but made it so miserable for them and every one employed by Fairfield County Bariatrics, that it had to be this way.  I love the Flochs, and wish them all the happiness they deserve.  Everyone gets what they have coming to them!

I have all the the new contact information on Dr. Timothy Ehrlich's new practice.  His address and phone numbers.  Fairfield Bariatric Group (Dr. Neil Floch and Dr. Craig Floch)would not give out this information to "HIS" patients - which is against what the American Medical Association rule of ethics for when a doctor leaves a practice for any reason.  The group would not give me his phone number or any address to contact him.  This IS WRONG.  I would NEVER recommend the Fairfield Bariatric Group to anyone anymore after I had been denied information on my surgeon,  Information they had that they would not share with HIS patients.  They also did not let HIM have access to HIS list of HIS patients or their contact information and appointments that had already been made.  Effectively holding his patients hostage from him.  I am going to write to the Connecticut Attorney General concerning the way this practice treated me.  Please feel free to email me any questions or concerns you may have.  Dr. Timothy Ehrlich has an impeccable reputation - he didn't get to be the head of Bariatric Surgery at St. Vincent's without earning this position.  Most Sincerely,

Very Well said. I couldnt agree more....I am sure the Flochs have brainwashed quite a few people since Dr. Ehrlich left. I am just sorry that who ever wrote that lost a wonderful doctor. I even heard that Dr. Ehrlich's patients were calling to ask about there appointments and they were told they needed to pick a new doctor. Also when this all unfolded around Thanksgiving, I had my appointment in place and FCB called me to change my appointment around and I asked if they could keep my 4:00 appt cause if I took the one they wanted me too I would have to leave work early and the said they COULD NOT, said I would have to take the 2:30, when I asked to speak with Becky,  they told me Dr. Ehrlich & Becky were no longer with the practice. Needless to say when I got home from work I had a message from Nicole with all the info on the new practice. So as far as I'm concerned shame on the Dr's Floch for trying to take his current patients from him, That is DIRTY and the poster before you is right I believe everyone gets whats coming to them. Dr Ehrlich and his staff are on there own and are much better for it...I think thats a great example of getting what they deserve......Dr. Ehrlich is a Wonderful Surgeon and were lucky to have him....

P.S. makes you wonder why someone would come on here with no picture and blast about Dr. Ehrlich, Could it be one of the doctors trying to ruin his good name.....Big Possibilty!!!! I think!!!!

As posted in my previous note, grow up and get your facts straight.  Get both sides of the story before making false statements.  Ehrlich is a liar, and a thief!  I called Fairfield County Bariatrics, and asked for his information and was given his new address and phone number without hesitation.  As far as them not giving out his patients info., where did that come from?  He is obviously talking trash, and trying to make the Floch doctors look bad.  At least their employees are not bad mouthing him, they have more class than that.  As far as his so called impeccable reputation, bull crap.  He is just plain and simple a bull crapper.

And since you are so insistent upon people getting "facts straight", it's been pointed out to Craig Floch that one of the problems THEY have created is NOT dealing with all the stories and innuendos flying around. WE didn't start these rumors; they have been reported to US.

So, with all YOUR "inside knowledge", clarify things for us. Put up or shut up. Or, should we all just show up for the court case of Floch v. Ehrlich so we ALL can find out the truth? It's an open court you know. ANYONE can go. I think ALL the parties involved will crap themselves if a boatload of patients showed up to find out what the **** really IS going on. The next court date is January 26th.
