aranow office vent

i am so not likeing that office.. they seem to screw my appts. up more then once i live 45 min away..today i go up there to get my second fill which you can only get every six weeks and they said they called to reschedual last month.. they didnt i have caller ID and an answering machine..no message i just think they should follow thru on stuff like that make sure they talk to the person..it is all about the money that i did see the day before my surgury...they are to busy poor communication i am so dissapointed.. sorry for the vent i am not really a angry person but when the same stuff keeps happening you have to wonder... sorry again thanks...

you vent all you want.. would have nade me mad too thinking I was going to be seen and then told opps you have no apt..
I hope they did reschedule you sooner than later.

No excueses they should be better. You have a right to vent.

When I had regular appointments, I took to calling before I left the house to MAKE SURE that  I was good to go.  If I was seeing Dr. A I'd check to make sure that he wasnt on an emergency or stuck in surgery (which happened to me several times before I wised up).  I drove about an hour to get there and it was maddening when things didn't go as planned!

So- maybe make it you practice to call ahead of your appts and re-confirm. 

omg thank you i never thought of calling ahead.. i know crazy of me to assume they would be expecting me..lol.. but i havent even met with the doc since surgery..which is also crazy to me.. oh well thanks for the tip i will call in advance..

Dr Aranow has long been known to cancel appts an hour prior to it and try to call you and not use all of your numbers...When I was preop, I lived in Westerly RI and I was ten minutes from his office when they called me on my cell phone and told me he was stuck in surgery...So, I had to turn around and go home 1 1/2 hr drive.  Ugh..

Now that he has his aprn or pa, I guess the waiting is better.

Not all dr's offices call the day before to remind you of your appt...it is YOUR responsibility to phone them to make sure you confirm that your appt is on, or you're going to drive there for no good reason.  Make sure you do this next time to save yourself the frustration and time lost.  We can't charge him for our time lost!

well i did get my fill today..i called ahead..and they still didn't have my name on the list just crazy..but they found me..it has never been about arranow not being able to see me it is about the office staff not communicating i guess or computers..who knows..but i will from now on call in advance for all my Dr's appts..or any appts..i don't need the reminder they obviously do..lol...thanks all have a great day...

Love Dr A. I've never had a major problem with the office staff but I had my surgery almost 6 years ago. I think he's mega more busy now.

But I will say I've not always been thrilled with different things.

Like having to wait 2 hours until you get to the little room thenhaving to wait an additional hour until you see Dr A for your alotted 10 minutes. but they are quick to get the check before you escape out the door hahaha

They do double book the apointments I heard the office people discussing it the last time i was there.

Vent all you want ths is what the boards are for. Plus its great to get ideas like calling ahead. I just started doing that myself. Its ahelp  when you live so far away. I live an hour away but if I do during a week day I'm almost 2 hours away so to take time to go see him I want to be sure he's there. Plus if I'm runninglate it makes me feel better if he is too. heheeh
