 Hello!
I had my rny gastric bypass 5 1/2 years ago and I went from a high of 296 to low of 217! This morning I got on the scale and it read 237.8!  Yikes! Up 20 pounds! I know this is how I got in trouble in the beginning! I certainly do not look forward to diabetes, knee pain and high blood pressure again.

Does anyone know where I can find Optifast (again?).  Also, I had my surgery at Bridgeport Hospital which has since stopped it's program. I know Dr Tran moved to Virginia, but does anyone know what happened to Laurie Jordan RD? I called and she is no longer at the hospital. She was great!

Also, does anyone know of any support groups in the Bridgeport-New Haven area?

Peace,
David K

I know Dr. Raftopolous has his patients on optifast for a pre-surgery diet - but doesn't recommend it for post surgery.

Why are you looking ot opti-fast and not just using a good quality protein shake?

What kind of food are you eating? Are you exercising? Are you portions getting bigger or are your food choices just not the great? In other words - do you know the source of your gain?

Good for you to catch it before it gets more the 20!!

Best of luck to you

You can also get Optifast through the Bariatric Advantage website.  Good Luck!
