Finally have a surgery date!

After a very stressfull summer waiting for insurance approval, I finally have a surgery date! Sept 30th. I am doing ok now, but know I will be nervous the closer it gets. I can't wait to finally be on the losers bench!

Congratulations!! We'll be traveling the journey together - I'm on day three of the liquid - Oh man - this is hard!

How great is that! You will be on that loser's bench before you know it and on your way to a new beginning.

Thank you! Hopefully things will go well. I see Dr.Aranow on Tuesday for pre-op.

You're kind to ask. I ended up switching to Dr Duffy in New Haven because I'm hoping to have the sleeve. Thanks to Dr Aranow being so thorough, I found out I had some pretty serious esophageal issues that wouldn't have made the band a good option for me. Dr A doesn't do the sleeve so that's why I ended up switching. I'm hoping to hear soon on insurance. Maybe I won't be too far behind you on a date!

Had my surgery yesterday. Dr.A found a small hiatal hernia and fixed that. I didn't even know I had one! I am doing pretty good. I feel alot better tonight. I am sore and my throat still hurts alittle. Not really having any pain.  Things are getting better everyday!
