help weight gain
Hi everyone,
It's been a long time since I have posted. I am a year out and it's seems to be getting harder to lose anymore weight. I have been at a plateau since November and now I've started to gain weight.
Dr. A told me to water load 15 mins before each meal and not to drink anything for 2 hours after. I am having a hard time with this. I get so thirsty. I'm not that great at being motivated to exercise either. I know I should but I keep saying tomorrow but tomorrow never comes.
If anyone has any suggestions Please post, I will try anything. I've worked too long and hard to get the weight off, I sure don't want it back on.
Thanks,
Cindy

Cindy- Glad to see you posting. The best thing you can do is to start attending support group meetings AND- exercise. I know it's hard. But, you did say that you'd do anything...and so, it HAS to be done!
Water loading WORKS! Give it a good shot for a few days. If you're doing it regularly it will satiate your thirst. You're not going to die of thirst if you've water loaded. You just have to re-train your body to accept this as your new regimine. In time, you'll adapt. It's hard, but it's NOT impossible.
You're right- you HAVE worked too hard to go back- so now, it's time to take that next hard step and do the things that you don't want to. THose are usually the things that benefit us the most.
Take it from me. I've been there and I know. All my fancy excuses and 'i'll do it tomorrow' got me was regain- now I exercise at 5:30 am every weekday. I HATE it, but I know I have to in order to keep the weight off. It's a sacrafice I'm willing to make in order NOT to be fat again.
best of luck to you- I know you can do it!
