So far so good!
I am one week post op. I saw Doctor Barba yesterday and everything is going per plan. Ok'd to start next phase of diet. The only problem I am having is having enough waking hours to get all the fluids in. With not having fluid 20 min prior to eating and not any till one hour after that is less time to get in the fluids for me. But I will continue to sip, sip sip.
Does any one know when we can have more fluids than 1 oz every 15 minutes?
Thanks Sher L
Hi Sher, Glad to hear your doing well. I supplimented my water with suger free ice pops. Keep them in my freezer and they are a nice change from sipping away a****er all the time. Those little packets of suger free flavorings they sell that you put into your water bottles help out as well. You may want to ask the doctor about that 1oz every 15 minutes. I was allowed as much as I was comfortable with drinking once discharged from the hospital, but see what the doctor says and go by his decisions. Good luck and keep up the good work. Julio
Hey there. I agree with Julio about checking with the Dr on the 1 oz per hour thing. That may have been a miscommunication. In that early stage, I used the Isopure fruit drinks for my morning meal and it helped get the protein and water requirement at the same time. That kind of worked around the hour before and after delema. Anyway, keep up the good work.
Take care
Scott
Glad to hear things are going well Sher!!
I think the 1 oz every 15 minutes was a MINIMUM requirement and if you are capapble of drinking more you should go for it - but like everyone else said just give the office a call to make certain. I think they are more worried about people not drinking enough and that's what the rule is for - but I've been wrong before.........
I hope your healing continues to be going so well!
Best Regards
