Its Been a long time ....need advice...good to be back
Hey folks - Sorry its been so long - I am about 16 months out and I have lost 211 lbs - was 480 now 269 and need to lose about 40 more lbs to meet my goal. My major issue right now is my legs still being large. My calves and thighs will not get smaller at the same pace the rest of me has. I know that its possible to isolate muscle to build and shape, can it work with fat too? Will focusing on a lower body workout make any of the fat go away or just affect the muscle. I also have serious veins poking out on my legs that I will eventually have removed and they will look a little better. I really just starting a weight lifting routine and need advice. Thanks
PS - I just updated my profile to show some pics that will show what Im talking about. THX

Hello and congratulations on losing 211lbs! That is fantastic. Good luck with focusing on your workout to help lose the leg fat. I am sure you will see more change as your lose the remaining 40lbs and start with weight training, but be sure to do aerobic exercise too. That helps burn fat all over. You will most likely see change in your body over the next year or so after getting to your goal.
So many people have areas that they cannot lose the fat even after getting to goal After you have maintained your weight loss for six months or so and if you can afford it, speak with a plastic surgeon to see what procedure might be done to help you out.
Keep up the great work.

WOW Matt - 211 lbs.!!!! Congratulations How do you feel? Is it a lot easier to live? I don't know about the calves and thigh issue - could some the issue be excess skin??? Have you had a doctor look at it? How about a personal trainer at a gym? Anway -sounds like Sel gave you good advice (as usual!)....
I just HAD to say congratulations and let you know that you look absolutely awesome
