Can't eat.
I have been having this strange feeling on and off for about 1 1/2 weeks...like a sour stomach and/or reflux....eating anything makes it worse, so I haven't been eating much....i still make sure
i get in at least 50 grams of protein and all my fluids, but my calorie intake is way down....I am supposed to be at about 1200 calories at this point, and lately, I have to force myself to get in 700-800....I called doctor Arranow's office and Louis told me to take prilosec otc for a few days...I also cut out the cafeine, as it could be contributing to the problem...So, if it doesn't get better by monday, I will call the doctor again and they might want to see me...in the meantime, aside from the prilosec and no cafeine, I am drinking mint tea, and chamomile tea...does anyone have any other ideas,,,I feel pretty lousy...any suggestions are welcome.....
thanks,
Love,
Dorota
Dorota,
There has been a stomach bug going around. I had it last week...and now, I have a sinus thing going on (the post nasal drip/mucus make one nauseaus)... I had stomach pain so bad I thought I had a knife going through me...and also cramps, nausea, burning, diarrahea etc. It lasted a good week or so.
SO, could it be something like this?
The Prilosec should help, but it may take a few days to kick in. In the meantime, keep with bland foods, lots of liquids and no caffeine (you're not supposed to be having it anyways!) Hopefully it'll ease up.

So sorry for the upset pouch. Never any fun.
Time for some comfort foods. Ice cream and chocolate
Ok.. let's get serious.
Light, easily digestable foods. You know the list.
Fewer dairy products. If needed, the Isopure for protein.
Take out the Mint tea. Not good for a pouch under duress.
I have some candied ginger at the store. It is not candy, but dried ginger. Some people talk about it as helping calm down an upset pouch.
Call Dave or Debbie,. They can give you my number. I've got to come to your area tonight (hopfully) and could meet you and drop some off. Anything to help.
Peter
