Home and doing well
Hey Angie ... How goes it, Girlfriend? I don't think I could be doing any better. All my "plumbing" is working ... something I had some concern over til this morning. I haven't had any pudding yet 'cuz it's not on THE list but not having trouble with finding variety with the protein shakes, SF Jello and all. I've tolerated everything (even milk - got brave and used it instead of water in my shake last night) and don't expect that to change. I had egg drop soup for lunch. I gotta tell ya ... it did feel good to "chew." Our daughter is doing Easter dinner and I think that's what I'll take for mine. Eggs = Easter. I still haven't been able to get in the liquid required but every day a little more.
I lost the fluids from the surgery in a little over a day and have started losing for real. Ms. Scale is my new bestest friend.
I am having a bit of trouble with the reality check .... it doesn't seem possible that I had surgery on Monday. It seems longer ago. I think the anestheia and all are still wandering around inside because time confuses me (this morning was yesterday and so on) but it is getting better. Not to mention really strange dreams. Today it was my husband and I going to a Catholic retreat where I had to wear a Nun's Habit. We're not even Catholic!
Sounds like you're doing great as well ... SO glad to hear that!!! We gotta meet someday. For some reason I feel a special connection to you. I take it as a "sign" of good things to come.

Hiya neighbor!~ So glad to hear you are feeling well!!!! I like your dream!! Funny, in the first week or so after my surgery I kept dreaming of food..all kinds of food...my first dream I was in the middle of a buffet of food and ready to devour it! lol My next dream was of chicken wings! Hot chicken wings dancing around in my head...sheesh!
Look forward to meeting you too Sandy! If you ever go to the support group meetings held at Middlesex hospital, I'll be there! Also look forward to going to the CT board picnic in June. Are you planning on attending?Should be a fun time!!
Continued success to you Sandy as you heal and get stronger with each passing day. Angie
Hi Angie,
I wrote to Debby Marcus to find out where in Middlesex the support meetings are held. I'm going to try to make it this Monday. We're also looking forward to the picnic in June. I'll need to send in our $10 so I need to watch for postings for that.
See you soon!
