Hey Kristen, You may want to just keep sipping water till you can wash some of that salsa out of your pouch. If it's still bothering you in the morning give your doctor a call. Our pouches after surgery are like baby stomachs and we have to treat them that way. When we don't they have a way of reminding us. Hope your feeling better soon, Take Care, Julio

Hi Kristen Now you know this... Next time you will be more careful to eat at Restuarant and know what to order or eat for your baby pouch. Sip Sip and go back to tuna salad, or egg salad or chicken salad for a while until your pouch is okay. Hugs Kathy K

Yeah- don't do that again!!! At least for awhile. I think the salad was too much 6 weeks out sweetie- I just now can eat a salad- I am 3 months out- give it a little time- I had a Fuji Apple Chicken Salad from Panera (no bread!) I ate about 1/2 and was stuffed- but damn crunching lettuce was good....who'd have thought I would have craved salad so bad????? The hot and spicy salsa must heave hurt coming back up- I bet- poor girl. But actually refried beans and chili are two favorites of mine. If you like that sort of thing do it mild with a little low fat cheddar and a little fat free sour cream....its good.

Go back to Liquids or soft bland foods only for a day or two and you should be OK. Salad and spicy food at 6 weeks, probably not advisable. I think Dr. A told me no raw stuff like salad for like 3 or 4 months... Live and learn. Careful with that little guy, treat it like a baby. Best, Lisa C

Hi, Lisa! Dr. A.'s letting his patients have salad sooner than he used to...he told me I could have salad at dinner the day he moved me to stage 5 (over a yr. ago). So I did have some lettuce that night with my Wendy's chili and low-fat cheddar (like a taco salad without the chips). But I was cautious and slowly advanced myself from soft foods to harder and crunchier foods and from bland to spicier foods. Debby
