Hi Joe, Thanks for your support! I know it is the right choice for me with my health issues but it may not be the right choice for all. It just makes me happy that the other conditions I have will remain in control with the meds I take. I have found the majority of type 1 diabetics have had the Lap Band so I will have others to speak with as well. I am so excited!! Thanks again!! Nancy

I can't wait to see Dr. Erhlich - he called the other day to say there is no way I would ever get approved (I called and asked about malabsorption hoping that could be a reason for the insurance!). Hi Kim, Thanks for the kind words. In this case, patience has paid off in a big way!! So glad I stuck to my guns! I just can't explain how happy I am for not only me but my family. It will make my journey a lot easier for me (not that any journey is easy!), but it will avoid a lot of unnecessary worry and what will happen when kind of questions that couldn't be answered.
