So, it's been a year!

Well lets see, first off.Let me thank all here for being so supportive and having answers to just about any questions. Your all a great help and its deeply appreciated. When I started this "Journey" To drive my cars I had to have the seat way back so as not to have the steering wheel rubbing my tummy. Now the seats are almost all the way forward. Can now buy off the rack at just about any clothing store. Haven't touched a Diabetes med or Blood pressure med since I left the hospital after the surgery and they have been perfect ever since. Gone from a 62 waist to a 40 waist in jeans. Down 162 pounds, feeling great and loving every day! Body temp is starting to regulate itself better so not as cold all the time like right after surgery. In the process have got my son eating better and excersizing more so that I hopefully have saved him from repeating the mistakes I made that got me to the 407 pounds I was when I first walked into Dr. Nazdam's office. (I consider this my best accomplishment.) So all in all it's been a good year and am loving every minute of my second chance at living! Definitly was the right choice to have the surgery. Wow! Happy anniversary! You have been such a great support here on the CT boards, I think I thought you were a little farther out as a post-op. Thanks for all the encouragment that you have given me personally. Especially when I post things like "I gained a whole pound!!!" lol You are always calm and resonable, just what I need when I am manic. lol Enjoy your accomplishment!

It is amazing we looked back to 1 year ago and see how far we made it and still using our tools to keep our healthier and enjoy our freedom!!!! You are very important on this Ct Message board .
