Hi Ladies, Have any of you heard of QVC Spanx body shapers? I have heard a few women mention them and wondered if anyone could give me some input on how they work and which type you bought? I have lost 56 lbs with 24 more to go to get to Dr. A's weight loss goal. I never have felt better!! Thanks, Colleen

Hey Colleen Yes Ive heard of Spanx, they say there great. If you don't want to order them you can find them at Torrid is a hip plus size store. Its found at Buckland hills mall, Holyoke Mall in Mass., and Meriden Square mall well coming soon in April. Hope that helps

I've heard of post ops who wear them almost daily. They are supposed to hold the flab together so that the rolls and droppy skin isn't as noticeable in clothing. I have seen them in Torrid and in Century 21 in NYC. Maybe they would have them at a Filene's or another department store in the area.

Hi Colleen. I swear by my spanx. At 156 lbs I bought a large (came with high waisted panty and also a lower waisted one that goes to about 5 inches above my knees). I am only 5'2 and they fit perfectly. They hold me in and I tell everyone I will never have plastics as long as I have my spanx. Because I like the one that goes mid thigh I rarely wear the panty one I got mine from QVC-actually ordered them right on line. They are very lite wgt and feel comfortable. No pinching or anything. You forget you are even wearing it. The long leg one is great in the summer when its hot and muggy. Prevents chafing. Hope this helps. Linnie

Hi Colleen - I definitely recommend the Spanx. Get mine from QVC all the time. Have them in nude and black, mid thigh, mid calf, high waist - you name it! They are actually so light you hardly notice you're wearing them but they do the trick at smoothing you out! For those at the WLS dance - I had a pair on under that dress! I looked good right!!!????? LOL!!! I've seen them in many stores as well Colleen - so you shouldn't have a problem finding them! Hugs, Carla OH Support Group Leader

I don't know where Torrid is in NYC (the closest one to me is in the Milford Mall) but here is the link for Century 21 http://www.c21stores.com/NYC.asp I don't know where in the city you are headed but it is near the former World Trade Center. The directions are on the site. Have fun in the city!
