UPDATE ON WLS PICNIC

HELLO OH FAMILY: This is your honorary picnic organizer updating you on our picnic plans and hoping everyone will come this year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A group of us will be meeting on May 13th to finalize all our plans and get things organized for this fun event. Okay everyone here is the information again for our Second Annual WLS Summer Picnic. I have reserved the Pavilion for us. We will be close to the beach and the parking and not too far from the concession area and restrooms. DATE: SATURDAY, JUNE 24TH PLACE: HAMMONASSET STATE PARK (MADISON CT) TIME: NOON TO WHENEVER COST: Asking for donations of $10 a family for rental fee for the day. (Paid $159.00 to rent the whole day, this does not include the parking fee to enter) We will be located at: Pavilion #3 12 Picnic Tables 2 Pedestal Grills available 500 feet to Restrooms 1000 feet to Concession Stand 500 feet to The Beach No electricity or running water No pets are allowed Come One Come All for some fun in the sun. It's that time of the year again. Let's all get together for a great day of fun, friends, family and some food and drink too. This facility has large pavilions, grills and a beautiful beach to swim at. There is a great trail to walk, a nature center and also grassy areas to have activates and relax. I am hoping that we have a great turnout this year. I already have so many people volunteering to help me out and sending in their donations. This is wonderful. I love you guys. It's impossible to please everyone but majority of people really want this place for our get together. I hope everyone will come and join us for this great event. We are going to plan a lot of fun events like last year. We hope everyone will get involved this year. BASEBALL GAMES SOFTBALL GAMES BADMITTON VOLLEYBALL FRISBEE BOCCI SACK RACES FISHING SWIMMING MUSIC MAYBE SOME DANCING SOCIALIZING RAFFLE These are just some ideas I am throwing out there, we can come up with allot of fun things to do both for the children and the adults. This invitation is open to everyone's family, friends and significant others. The more the merrier. Pre-ops, Post-ops and anyone who is thinking about the surgery too. You can bring all your own supplies, food, drink, etc. Like last year we all brought various things and even shared too. We also are asking for donations towards the raffle, whether you can get gifts, gift cards, make a themed basket or any type of idea you may have. It would be a lot of fun for all and we are raising money for a great group. Again all monies made on the raffle will be donated to the WLS Foundation like our Spring Gala, Annual Walk, etc. We want to help in anyway we can. So if you would like to help with any of these items, it would be greatly appreciated. Get the word out to everyone and let's make this a great success. This is such a great group of people and we all have so much fun together, Saturday night at the Gala and last year at the walk and picnic was an example of how much we all enjoy each other. Hi Kim I already made the signs but will ask Julio to put wood stick on it so people will follow our signs to lead our Pavilion. I am lookind forward to see you all on May 13th . I will bring fold table with me. My Aunt is working on beautiful blanket now. Hugs Kathy K

Hey sweetie, As always your on the ball, so organized!!!!! lol I am going to do like I did last year and make various signs on the computer and get a sign in book, nametags I still have from last year. We will talk more on the 13th. Love ya Kim

Hi Kathy! Not a problem putting sticks on the signs. I live pretty close so will probably be one of the first one's there early to stake out the place! Hope its a good day for swimming! Take Care, Julio
