Hi, All! This coming Mon., 3/27, is the 4th Mon. of the month, so the support group meeting at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown (6:30 - 7:30 p.m.) will consist of a panel of post-ops presenting their stories and answering questions. Although the meeting is supposed to be for pre-ops, some of us post-ops go anyway to support our friends on the panel. The meeting will not be in the usual location. It will take place in another building -- the former school of nursing. It's the building directly across from the entrance we normally go through when attending meetings...the building that we walk by when coming from the far end of the parking lot. After the meeting, a number of us usually go to dinner. Anyone who's interested (pre- or post-op) is welcome to join us. And if you'd rather eat dinner before, the restaurants we go to don't mind if you just have something to drink. The point of going out isn't the food, it's the additional support and the opportunity to get to know each other better. As a pre-op I found it helpful to see how post-ops at various stages out from surgery handled eating in a restaurant. It reassured me that life could still be normal after WLS, albeit a new version of "normal". If you need directions, pls. e-mail me. Have a good weekend, Debby
