Weird Pain

Last night I started getting this weird pain on my lower left side - not exactly where the port is. It only hurts when I move - if I'm sitting or laying I am perfectly fine. Do you think this could still be residual gas from the surgery? It's not as bad this morning, last night on a scale of 1 to 10 I'd put it up to about a 6 - this morning it's about a 4 or a 5 - I'm not ready to scream in pain or anything .........If it doesn't go away in a couple of hours I'll call the doctor - I did do a lot of walking yesterday - I went to Costco (Love that store) and to Big Y to get prepared for my mushies tomorrow............. I never had anything like that Tammy, but if its getting better rather than worse, I would think its clearing up, so maybe it is gas or something. I had lots of gas for like 2 wks after my surgery. Keep me posted and keep up the good work. Whats the 1st mushie you are going to eat??? Bet you can wait. Bree

Thanks Bree - I posted the question on the lap band forum as well and someone said that if it only hurts when I move it might be muscular - it is getting much better - nothing like a hot shower! I don't know what I'm going to eat for my first mushie I went to costco yesterday and bought - avocados, yogurt and cottage cheese (the dip kind of strawberry or pineapple), at Big Y I bought mashed potato and two dozen eggs (they were buy 1 get 1 free) - I also bought no pudge ice cream, fat free cool whip............... What did you eat your first day of mushies??? Are you going to the support group meeting tonight? Warm Regards, Tammy

It sounds like gas. I had a similar pain in my lower back for weeks after surgery. Sometimes it was bad, sometimes it was just uncomfortable enough to be annoying. It goes away after awhile. At any rate, enjoy your mushies tomorrow! There is a sale on yogurt at Stop and Shop

Thanks Christine! I just bought like 24 yogurts at Costco - they came in blueberry, strawberry and peach - but if my husband and son eat them with me I'll have to make a run to S&S to get some more! ;) I'm looking forward to chewing!! Warm Regards, Tammy
