Support Group Meetings Mon. & Tues.

Hi, All! This coming Mon., 3/20, is the 3rd Mon. of the month, so normally there would be support group meetings at both Middlesex Hospital in Middletown and at the Senior Center in Hamden, but due to a scheduling conflict, the Hamden meeting has been rescheduled for Tues., 3/21. So here's the info. about the night-after-night meetings next wk.: Mon., 3/20, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. - Meeting at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown for both pre- and post-ops. Most attendees are patients of Dr. Aranow, but anyone is welcome. The meeting consists of general discussion, questions and answers. After the meeting, a group of us generally go to dinner. If you'd like to join us, pls. come along, whether you're a pre- or post-op. Or if you'd rather eat before the meeting, come anyway and just have something to drink. The restaurants we go to don't mind and the point of going out isn't the food...it's the company...the additional support...the opportunity to get to know each other better. As a pre-op I found it helpful to go out with post-ops because it gave me a better idea of what life would be like at different stages and lengths of time after WLS. Tues. 3/21, 6:30 - 8 p.m. - Meeting in Hamden at Senior Center (behind Miller Library on Dixwell Ave.) for both pre- and post-ops. This group isn't affiliated with any doctor or hospital and is run by a couple of post-ops. The meeting will consist of general discussion, questions and answers. Anyone is welcome to attend.
