1 Week Follow Up

I went for my one week follow up appointment with Dr. Barba - My appointment was for 4:10 and I had to wait an hour and half to see him - I thought this was an excessive wait time but I guess when you're a surgeon with this type of surgery unexpected things come up - So anyway after waiting so long I completely forgot to ask him any of the questions I had written down (duh) but he said my incisions were healing well and I looked good and to come back in 4 weeks to see if I need a fill! So that's it - pretty uneventful - Patty took me to the appointment (she's the best!) and we ended up having a mini-support group meeting in the waiting room so the wait went by pretty fast - I got to see my room mate Judith - which was a treat, she was a riot! I also got to hear a horror story of a guy who had an erroded lap band and was going to get it removed - he had lost 170 pounds and said even with all his issues he would do it again in a minute - there were several success stories that were really nice to hear..... So I'm still on liquids for another week and I'M STARVING!! But I'm hanging in............I've lost 5 pounds in 7 days for a grand total of 26 pounds since the beginning of my journey. I get to eat on 3/22 and I'm so looking forward to it! So there's my progress report and I'm sticking to it! Warm Regards, Tammy 7 Days Post Op!! Count Down: 7 days to eat mushies.

Tammy, Dr B's wait time on Tuesday's is ALWAYS that long (for me too when I went) but you have to get there on time or you wait longer, but the good thing is everyone in the waiting room is post-op so you can talk. You just have to tough it out. He's worth it. Congrats on your loss! Enjoy liquids! Talk to you soon! Jen
