Need some words of encouragement.
Now, now, Bree;
You've given so much advice and comfort to so many out here. You've given me the strength and courage to start my journey and now you need some help. Well here I am to smother you with some comfort.
What can I say that the other people haven't said alraedy? Stay focused and continue with what you started. It isn't going to be easy, nobody said it would be a miracle, did they? WLS is a tool, and like all tools, it needs to be used properly to get maximum results. You're doing the good things like exercising at the gym, keep it up. You've lost a good deal of weight in a short time, so that's another positive. As far as the food goes, well that's what got us to this point where we need surgery. I know the words are easy, but you have to find another avenue for your stress than fooooooood. Here I am talking to you and I just had a few Hershey Kisses, shame on me, I do know what you are going through.
Hang in there kid, God will watch over you!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Hey girl! No need to get the blues. You body is just taking a breather. I have had times when I work at it like an animal and the bloody scale go's up a notch. You just keep on track and tha***** bitty, bit of weight will be gone along with a bit more. So, Put that smile back on your face and keep the faith girl! Be well! Julio
My dearest Julio,
I am so sorry I didnt get to the dance to you meet you and your very lucky wife. You are such a great person. (as I have said before) You are always so helpful no matter what the situation or topic. I also feel like we have a special bond since we just went through all that stress with our mothers at the same time.
I hope someday when you need a boost I can do the same for you.
Thanks for being such a terrific friend Julio.

Bree,
In my humble opinion, and from personal experience,
After the second month post op there was always one week per month that I gained....9 months post op now (gastric by-pass, not the same as you, but may have some similar issues)and one week per month I gain as much as 5 pounds...now, I lose all the other weeks, and at the end of the month I am still lower each month...I probably do eat a little more during that week, but surely not enough to gain 5 pounds...So, IMHO, It's hormonal, water weight gain, a combination of both, I doubt that you can eat enough to gain "actual" 1 and 1/2 pound in one week this early post-op...Don't beat yourself up, keep track of your loss during the month, see if you can detect a correlation between "that time of the month" and weight gain...
Now, having said that, I can freely admit that I HATE seeing the scale creep up one week each month, eventhough I know to expect it, and it always creeps back down....
Good Luck
Love,
Dorota
Dorota, now that you mention that, i stopped losing last month around this same time. I guess I assumed that it would be during that I held the water etc. But I track my results well and it was this same time, which is like a week before. huh.
I guess that makes sense. But I still wont feel better till I get back down. I'm sure you can understand.
I get my fill on the 23rd and I cant wait.
thanks so much for the response.

Bree,
Two words for you hon, The Firm. www.firmdirect.com
It is light weights and cardio. You want to do weights now. building lean muscle will help you burn more calories. So start lifting those 3,5 and 8 lb weights girl friend! You can thank me later.
Not to mention that The firm will give you an all over tone body. This program is great and I can't praise it enough!
Try it out. I think they might sell it at Target, and I know you can get it at Dick's sporting goods.
Hang in there hon,
Chrissy
