I have a date! :)
Hi all! I got approval and a surgery date of 3/29 today and it feels so gooOOd! I took a chance and called Anthem BC/BS from work today to check on the status because Lois (Dr. A's office) told me she would be submitting my paperwork late last week. She did and I was approved yesterday! Unfortunately Lois is home with pnemonia this week. I hope she is resting well and getting stronger every day!

PS: For any LapBanders interested, I just bought this book entitled, "Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding" by Jessie H. Ahroni, Ph.D., A.R.N.P (also a bandster) It came highly recommended by Bandsters on the LapBand Forum. It is an excellent additional resource for anyone considering the LapBand Surgery. I purchased my copy online at Amazon.com.
CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!! I can hardly wait to be able to post that I have a date. Then again, I'll be too busy doing the Happy...Happy...Joy...Joy Dance it may take a while.
Just starting here and always looking for answers. How long did it take you to get from the orientation to getting the date? Did Anthem give you any hassles?
Again CONGRATS!!!!!!!! And best of luck ~ may the road be smooth for you.
Sandy
Hiya Sandy and thank you
I went to Dr A's orientation in November and started having tests taken in December and all tests were completed in February. Anthem was no problem at all. The paperwork was sent to them the end of last week and surgery was approved yesterday!
Good luck on your journey. You are in good hands on the CT board. This is a very knowledgable, good looking, friendly and helpful group of people!
Angie

My God, what you must be going through right now, what an incredible feeling it must be because 3-29 will be here before you know it and then you will be nothing but a "BIG LOSER" LOL
