Hey there my OH Family, Here is the information for our Second Annual Summer Picnic: DATE: SATURDAY, JUNE 2TH PLACE: HAMMONASSET STATE PARK (MADISON CT) TIME: NOON TO WHENEVER COST: Asking for donations for rental fee for the day. ($125.00 to rent the whole day, this does not include the parking fee to enter) Come one come all for some fun in the sun. Its that time of the year again. Lets all get together for a great day of fun, friends, family and some food and drink too. This facility has large pavillions, grills and a beautiful beach to swim at. There is a great trail to walk, a nature center and also grassy areas to have activites and relax. I am hoping that we have a great turnout this year. I already have so many people volunteering to help me out. This is wonderful. I love you guys. Its impossible to please everyone but majority of people really want this place for our get together. I hope everyone will come and join us for this great event. We are going to plan alot of fun events like last year. We hope everyone will get involved this year. BASEBALL GAMES SOFTBALL GAMES BADMITTON VOLLEYBALL FRISBEE BOCCI SACK RACES FISHING SWIMMING MUSIC MAYBE SOME DANCING SOCIALIZING RAFFLE These are just some ideas I am throwing out there, we can come up with alot of fun things to do both for the children and the adults. This invitation is open to everyone's family, friends and signficant others. The more the merrier. You can bring all your own supplies, food, drink, etc. Like last year we all brought various things and even shared too. There are (2) pedestal grills to cook on so you can bring charcoal or if you prefer you can bring your own portable if you have one. There are (12) picnic tables in each pavillion and there is even a concession stand in the area too. There are restroom facilities available and parking. Get the word out to everyone and lets make this a great success. This is such a great group of people and we all have so much fun together, Saturday night at the Gala was an example of how much we all enjoy eachother. Lets keep this going everyone!!!!! Again all monies made on the raffle will be donated to the Foundation like our Spring Gala, Annual Walk, etc. We want to help in anyway we can. So if you would like to donate prizes, gift cards, baskets etc. it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone and I hope to see all of you there this year. Hugs KimC

Hey Kim, Just let me know when and where to send the check for the rentel fee for the Pavillion. Will help out with that as well. Won't mind doing some cooking as well if we want to throw in hot dogs and burgers as well. I can get those things wholesale. Just a thought, Take Care and thanks for taking point on this Picnic! Hey there! Here's my suggestion regarding the rental fee. Everyone who would like to come should plan on sending in $5-$10/person - or we can make it per family perhaps depending on the interest level. Unfortunately, when it comes to money we've been burned before at one of our gatherings a couple of years ago. So collecting from everyone up front is the fairest method and it's not a lot of money. If we get lots of people, then the left over money can either get reimbursed to the folks or put towards the event in some way. Thoughts anyone?? Hugs, Carla

I agree, if we just assume that it is $10 a family and everyone sends it in advance, say by June 1st, then all the money will be set, no one gets stuck with extra costs. And then any additional money can be sent to the Walk for Obesity or something.
