Support Group was fun!!!

HI Gang, I don't normally post on the Ct boards I spend all my time over on the main boards but I do lurk over here from time to time so I still feel like I know all of you. I got to go to the Middlesex Hospital support group meeting last night and happened to sit next to Dorota, who I might add is much more beautiful in person then in her profile pic, and tall and thin too. Okay so I hate her already. lol No not really. And it is always wonderful to see Debby Marcus, she came to see me in the hospital when I had my surgery and I will never forget how sweet that was, shes one of the nicest people around. I also got to meet Kristen and her Mom, Kristen had surgery last week and is already up and doing great. How awesome is that. I am gonna try to make more of the support meetings so I can stay better connected, I unfortunately always work late on Mondays and Tuesdays and was only able to go because I was out sick yesterday with a bad headache. But I am soooo glad I went. Hugs Heidi

Hi Heidi I am glad you went to post op meeting in Middletown and I will be there in May since I am very busy in April but I am hoping to meet you there in May or Summer Picnic on June 24th if you can make it! Keep come back to our Ct boards! SMILE! Hugs Kathy K

I just took a peek at your before pics and you were beautiful before surgery but you have done an excellent job since your surgery! Very stylish, I love that corset! We didn't meet formally at the meeting but it was nice to see a face that I hadn't seen before.

HI Christine, Thanks, you are looking quite stylish yourself, and nice going with the weight loss. Its fun to see people changing and dropping pounds and getting new clothes. I hated every article of clothes I had when I was at my heaviest, it was all stuff I bought because it fit not because I liked it. I now only buy things I actually like, which is almost hard, because I am so used to the other way of shopping. But since I can wear 12's and 14's I can shop pretty much everywhere although I still haven't branched out too far past Kohl's and Burlington Coat Factory. Hugs Heidi

Hello Heidi, I just wanted to say I really admire your success. We have never met, but I read your profile, its beautiful. I love your photos and you look absolutely gorgeous. I hope to be as successful as you have been and I hope to meet you some day to thank you for your inspiration. I have become friends with Kathy K and others on this board and its a great family. Hi Kim, Thanks for the kind words, I truly enjoy giving back to those who are coming up and trying to get wls and I do my best everyday to do as much support as I can. Hey Heidi- so it was great to see you too last night- I like going to the post op meetings -I think they keep me grounded. I need that- LOL- You are a hot looking chick my dear- what an awesome photo journal you have on your profile. Oh, if you "under" grow that shirt you are wearing in the Feb 5th 2006 picture- I want it. Kristen coming on post-op day 8 was amazing- she' s a sweet thing huh? Keep up the good work.

Hi Mom, It is fun to see everyone, its amazing after spending so much time reading profiles here I feel like I am meeting celebrities when I see someone I know. I love OH, this place has been so wonderful for me, I try to give back as much as I can from my experience. I want to help as many people as I can who are thinking about surgery and know that even if they opt to not have surgery they have the support of all of us. Thanks for the kind words and that shirt was cheap I got it over at Burlington Coat Factory, it hides my batwings and my tummy bulge perfectly. lol Hugs Heidi

I just went online today since the meeting, and I am going to have my head in the clouds for the rest of the week.....You're so sweet...And I have to say I noticed you as soon as you walked in..You look fantastic, and I really admire your style, as do so many others....I am glad to have met you MyLady, Love, Dorota
