Five Year Anniversary

Tomorrow, 7/21 will mark my 5 year anniversary of my WLS with Dr. Bell.  I cannot tell you all how happy I am that I did this.  Has it be difficult?  YOU BET! Would I do it again? In a NY minute!  All in all I cannot complain.  I original lost approx. 85 lbs, and have kept all but 7-8 lbs off.  It's a struggle every day, but I will not return to where I was!

For those of you considering this surgery, do it!!! Get your life back.  Is it a "fix" for every problem you have in life? NOOOOO, but it makes you feel "human" again.

Congratulations JA!  I had my 5 year anniversary on May 24th.  I originally lost 126 pounds and have put back on 20 over the last 2 years.  I am back on track, seeing my bariatric nutritionist and going to the support group meetings.  I love my life today - I go kayaking, hiking, horse back riding , water parks. ride bikes - all the things I missed out on all those years.

It is the best thing that I have ever done!

I'm glad to see you are a success and enjoying the benefits of your surgery as well.
