tam, it was just about 1 year ago that i came over your house toting my carnie wilson books, trying to get you to "see the light"... which, you didn't, but hey, you finally came around! i have to say that my success so far has only been half hearted, becuz i can't share the experience with you, my lifetime fat commiserating partner! so to say that i'm thrilled for you is quite an understatement. i'm thrilled for me too! how many times have we said, since we were 10 years old, "NO MORE FAT SUMMERS!" oh my god tam, now it's actually going to be a reality! i'm so happy for you, that it's all gone so smoothly so far, i'm sure the rest will too. you have that coming to you sweet...

Now why in God's name did I have to read this at work where my eyes are welled with tears and I keep swallowing a big lump in my throat - you b%#@@!! I love you so much Patty - thank you for EVERYTHING - you have always been there for me - through it all - I am just so thankful that fate brought our parents to live on the same street and fat brought us together Actually though, it is more then our weight that has kept us together our entire lives! You're right, when I read that Carnie book - I thought she and you were NUTS! I remember even asking you the stupid question - "Why can't you just eat like you already had the surgery?" Duh = what an idiotic question - and you just answered me with "becuz I can't!" So here I am grabbing on to the golden "band" to help save my life - no longer does the no fat summer mean vanity any longer! I know I'll still be fat this summer but I'll be on my way down and the two of us can flap our wings in the pool! Last night I told Nathan that I was going to get bat wings and he told me he wanted butterfly wings - so I changed my mind and told him I want butterfly wings too! Thank you Patty from the bottom of my heart (and my fat stomach ). Love you!

OMG Bree - I am so hungry - but I did it! I only cheated once - I ate 3 kernels of corn - can you believe that I was that bad?
