I'm home!!!
So I went in for RNY on Tuesday and I was released on Thursday. I really HATED being in the hospital and I have to say that the hospital where I was, wasn't the best. I had heard lots of great things about it, but I was not impressed. As i was brought into my room from recovery, the nurse told me that she'd be back in a couple of hours to get me up and walking, but I ended up waiting 6 hours until a friend came to visit before I went for a walk. They we supposed to start me on my stage 1 diet that night, but that evening my tray never came, nor did it come in the morning. I started at lunch and couldn't handle the beef broth so my surgeon's assistant called the food service people and requested chicken broth. I got vegetable broth with my dinner. I wasn't expecting 5 star service, but this wasn't good! And I held off on showering at the hospital after learning that there were communal showers and they weren't draining properly and water was pooling on the floor. That grossed me out.
Anyways, I'm home now and bored out of my mind. I just swiffered the kitchen and bathroom floors. I'm feeling pretty good, just really sore. It hurts when I burp or hiccup too but I'll survive. I want to go out an buy a scale today. I lost 8lbs pre-op and I'm curious to see where I am now. We'll see, I've never been excited about weighing myself before!
