connecticare insurance??

just a quick question. has anyone used this insurance to get WLS? my sister gets that from her job and shes really interested in getting surgery but doesnt know if the insurance will cover it. help me enlighten her lol

Hi I had Connecticare and they paid for my lapband surgery on 4/30/07.  Dr Tishler at Hartford Hospital did the surgery.  She needs to check had see if the policy she has covers it.

it depends on her employer!  I had Connecticare when I first started out ...because I work for a "small employer" it was an outright exclusion...my employer changed insurance companies to accomadate my needs!  He switched to Oxford and my surgery was quickly approved....and now I am in the processing of getting the insurance to cover my tummy tuck and hernia repair
