SO YESTERDAY, ME AND AMBER (BROTHERS GIRLFRIEND) WENT TO MY LAST AND FINAL THING BEFORE SURGERY. MEET WITH THE NURSE. I THOUGHT I WOULD BE THE ONLY ONE THERE, BUT THERE WAS SEVERAL OTHER PEOPLE AND THEIR SUPPORT PERSON. THE NURSE WAS ROSEMARY, WHO WAS REALLY SWEET. FIRST SHE HAD US SEE HER ONE AT A TIME. SHE WEIGHED ME...I LOST 4 MORE POUNDS! AFTER THAT SHE JUST TALKED TO ME, AND GAVE ME A FORM TO GET MY BLOOD DRAWN AT THE LAB. EEEEE...I HATE NEEDLES, BUT IT WASNT SO BAD. THEN WE ALL MET IN THE ADDITURIUM WHERE ROSEMARY AND JUDY DISCUSSED THE SURGERY AND WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN BEFORE AND AFTER. IT WAS VERY INTERESTING, BUT I REALLY DIDN'T WANT TO KNOW ANYTHING, CAUSE I FELT IT JUST WORRIED ME MORE. BUT IM A TROOPER AND ILL BE FINE. AND THAT IS ABOUT IT....I DID ENJOY, MET SOME VERY NICE PEOPLE! AND YES I STARTED MY LUIQUID DIET YESTERDAY.....OOOOO MYYYY GOD. I CAN NOT DEAL. I KNOW I KNOW I AM STAYING FOCUSED, BUT ITS HARD. MY STOMACH IS REGULAR SIZE NOW AND ITS HARD, I DONT CARE ABOUT HAVING LIQUIDS AFTER SUGERY CAUSE MY STOMACH WILL BE AN OUNCE...BUT GEEEZZZ THIS IS TORTURE. I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH MORE JELLO AND POPS I CAN TAKE...LOL. ANOTHER CONCERN CAN ANYBODY TELL ME HOW LONG THAT STAYED AT THE HOSPITAL. (ST FRANCIS) I HEARD 3 DAYS THEN I HEARD 4 DAYS. ANOTHER THING, CAN I SHOWER WHILE I'M THERE? WEAR MY OWN PAJAMAS? WILL I HAVE MY OWN ROOM? OK ENOUGH NAGGING THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TONI

Wow Toni - the count down is really on! I went to the class today with Rosemary and had the blood test - the information is just slightly different for lap band - but Rosemary did say we could take a shower there so if we have a favorite soap or shampoo or whatever to bring it. She also said not to bother with pajamas but take a bathrobe and slippers. Most of the rooms at St. Francis are two beds and a lot of insurance policies only cover semi-private rooms (two beds or more), however, there might be some private rooms available - you might want to check with your insurance in advance to see if it's covered if it's a concern for you. Personally I think all hospitals should be private rooms! When I had my son at Hartford Hospital the entire maternity floor were all private rooms and it was really nice to be alone with my baby - especially since I was there for 7 days! Anyway sorry for digressing LOL - Congratulations on the 4 more pound loss and good luck with the liquids - I'll be starting the liquids in 11 days from now.........and you'll be home and recovering! Warm Regards, Tammy Count Down: 19 Days
