I can't "GO"
I have tried that... it didn't work pre-op either. =-( The only thing that worked pre-op was the chews that they have, but I don't know if I can have them now.
I have also tried prune juice followed with hot tea. Still a no go. =-(
I tried a munchkin about a week ago and dumped with it... if the cramps weren't so bad I would attempt that just to go. UGH!

If it keeps up I would call the doctor. I know that my practice suggests that you go at least every 3 days. Has it been that long? (Not to be too personal, but we are all family here)
Constipation isn't a problem of mine but I do know that on occasion decaf coffee will excite things a bit in me. Maybe you can try that.
But overall I think that if it is a reoccuring issue you should ask your doctor about it.
Chrissy,
I had a bout with this last weekend... I was in a lot of pain and discomfort. I wish I had milk of magnesia on hand but only had exlax (not the best choice, but it worked). I tried everything.... even tried to make myself dump. I have or had a lactose intolerance since surgery and only had ice cream in the house to give it a try. I ate 2 big scoops of ice cream and .... NOTHING! Not even a cramp. Boy was that upsetting... not only didn't it work, but worse, I didn't dump! I don't want to know that I CAN eat ice cream!
Praying things "move" along for you real soon. I know how uncomfortable you must be.

Chrissy - My friend had this problem and she said that all the remedy's are great but they can't soften the stool you've already made so she (at the advice of her doctor) had to use an enema to get relief - I hope that's not the case for you - but if it is go and get yourself a fleet and get some relief! However, you probably should call your doctor before you do anything.......some of the remedies can cause a lot of gas and make things even more painful.
Good luck! Hope you get relief soon!
Warm Regards,
Tammy
