INTERESTING TO LEARN NORDIC WALKING CLASS

Hello Everybody I need your feedback to see if all of you want to learn how to use Nordic Walking class in April ( i dont know when date but I will ask my personal trianer Glo and her partner Alex) I will ask Glo to see if she know any place in Guilford to learn this class. Will you willing to show up and learn this class? Feel free feedback about it. WOW! I checked this out! This looks great, but I have no idea where Guilford is.... Looks like there is only one place to get the poles in the US. (Are they expensive?) This is kicking it up a notch in the daily walk routine!!! It would be so cool! Wonder if my walking partner would think so.... I am sending her the Nordic Walking Link!

Actually, If you take the class, you can buy the poles right from Glo. That is what I did after my 1st class. She sells Leki brand and has several models on hand to choose from. I have to thank Kathy K again for introducing this sport to me, I love nordic walking. It really gives me a great body workout without feeling over exherted. I have been monitoring my heart rate -- I am working at my optimum level and I hardly even feel it. I am actually surprised when I come inside and find that i had worked up a sweat. I do know you can buy the poles at some sports equipment stores. You could check with your local stores to find out. But I have seen them online several times, just do a search on "where to buy nordic walking poles" you will find links. I hope many of you will give NW a try it is a great form of exercise--- maybe some of you can join Kathy and I on May 6th as we Nordic walk a 5K in New London. Terri

An update, of sorts. I e-mailed Gloria the other day and asked her if she'd be interested in doing a class closer to our area (Southern Fairfield County). I haven't heard back from her yet, but when I do I will post the details for everyone to know. I also asked her if she'd be interested in presenting it to our support group. We have groups at both Norwalk and St Vincents Hospital (Bridgeport). When I have some info, I'll pass it along. Have a great day!! Bob
