HAD MY YEAR CHECKUP TODAY
Hey Sis,
Thanks so much for always being there for me. I love you for that. Your my very dear friend and I appreciate all your support and all your caring. Your my greatest support and I know I will do better.
I can always count on you when I need advice, you have been and are such a wonderful friend. I am so grateful to you and I thank god every day that we have become good friends.
I am going to try Carla's advice and Julio's advice too. More protein and change of schedule. I am going to try to do less of the shakes and more of the solids. Hopefully the xray won't show anything and I will be okay.
I just want to get past all of this and get out of this slump. I know I can with all the love and support I am getting from you and Tom and of course our OH family here.
Thanks so much for everything, I will be calling you in the next couple of days to schedule our day out.
Love ya too

Hey Bethany,
Thank you so much sweetie for always thinking of me and being there for me too. I can't wait to meet you at the dance too. I have heard from Mare what a wonderful person you are. I am looking forward to meeting you.
I read that book, its wonderful. I have read alot of different ones from bariatriceating.com and they were all good. I have some of the cookbooks too, but its so hard to make alot of things due to never being home and working all day.
I will get over this slump its just going to take time. Can't wait to see you and we are going to have a blast.
Hugs and Kisses to you

YOU HAVE LOST 110 pounds so far!!!! That's nothing to sneeze at sweetie- you are in a rut right now-you need to get past it- you will!
110 pounds gone- think about that!!!!!! CRIMINY GIRL!!! Some people are slower than others- maybe you have a super efficient metabolism- how do you bust through that? You exercise right? You eat well right? I dunno- what else you can do- have you gone to the nutritionist lately?
But regardless- you are 1/3 the woman you used to be LOL that's nothing to feel sorry about!!!!! And if your pouch is too big or whatever- what would she do?
Kim,
Hang in there. Your so positive and supportive to everyone. It's our turn to give you that same support in return. I'm not sure of any menu changes being a pre-op but, hang in there things are sure to change soon. You have lost soooo much already be proud of your success. Take care and good luck beating this plateau.

Kim my dahling!
Ok here's Carla's advice:
First off - follow the 4 Rules:
- Protein First (5-10gm servings - 6x/day)
- LOTS of water
- NO snacking
- Daily exercise
You absolutely MUST shake up your routine in order to get things moving. And though it seems crazy, increasing your intake may be your best bet. I just got off a conf. call with a nutrionist who absolutely advocates going to 6 small meals a day rather than 3. Stay away from liquid sources of protein for a while and ensure you are getting your protein in first (5-10 grams at each meal). Remember to wait 1 hour after a meal to start drinking your water. And get in as much water as you can stand!
Exercise every day and not the same thing each time. Good rule of thumb, Cardio 3x week, weight bearing exercise 3x week, 1 day of light walking or something less intense than your other days.
I am also an advocate of Support groups. Seems like a small thing - but going and talking things out with others - you find out you are not alone! You can also get lots of tips from people who have been there.
(p.s. my next group is on 2/23, 6pm if you want to join us!)
Last but not least - LOVE yourself! Look at what you HAVE accomplished! Don't get discouraged, that starts a pattern the people we used to be would fall into.
I'm here for you - any time!
Hugs,
Carla

Carla,
What can I say, you are wonderful. You are the most loving and caring person I know. I can't tell you how much it means to me that you are always there for me and always know what to say. You are awesome and your my hero as always.
I will definately take your advice and try your suggestions. The exercise things I have to try, I don't go to a gym, I just do the bike and walk at home and Erin and I do the dance extreme mat for exercise its fun. I will definately think about the meeting on the 23rd. Let me know where it is, and I will check my schedule. I am off on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to spend with Erin on her school vacation. So we have a lot planned to do together, but I will make time for the meeting on Wednesday if your there.
I know I have accomplished alot, and yes I am proud of myself, I will get out of this slump, its just hard right now for me. I promise I will get past this.
Thanks so much for your caring and support , I love you for that. Your a great friend.
Hugs

Hi Kim - I don't have any specific advice to give you, but I just wanted to be supportive of you in your slump. You can get your body to get rid of that extra weight, just keep your eye on the goal and keep trying different things until you find the combination!
Things will look up!
Warm Regards,
Tammy
